Since 2015, the VA Quality Scholars Coordinating Center has been located at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The Coordinating Center is responsible for program implementation and assessment, developing and delivering a national, core curriculum, and fostering collaboration among the fellowship sites. The Coordinating Center also organizes an annual quality improvement conference which provides VA Quality Scholars an opportunity to meet face-to-face, collaborate and network with faculty and fellows from across the nation. At the conference, fellows also further their knowledge in leading, measuring and implementing change for the improved health of Veterans and the nation.
The Coordinating Center delivers formal, didactic curriculum to the sites weekly via interactive webinar and fosters opportunities for the fellows to collaborate nationally on inter professional practicum projects.
