Kyler Godwin, PhD, MPH is a health professions educator and applied implementation scientist. She develops, implements, and evaluates education and training on healthcare improvement for interprofessional learners from undergraduate medical students to interprofessional faculty at the local and national levels. Her specific area of interest is in developing leaders who can apply healthcare improvement and implementation strategies that make direct operational impact and improve healthcare. Dr. Godwin is an investigator at the Center for Innovations in Quality Effectiveness and Safety where she is the principal investigator on a VA Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI) funded Implementation Training Hub to deliver applied implementation strategies to front- line providers throughout VA. She is also the director for the Houston-based Health Professions Education Evaluation and Research (HPEER) fellowship which trains physicians and non-clinical post-doctoral trainees in the education of health professionals for healthcare improvement. In addition to her expertise in healthcare improvement and health professions education, she is passionate about providing opportunities for healthcare professionals to be recognized for their contributions to healthcare improvement.
