Victoria Tang, MD, MAS

My research focuses on improving the care of older adults undergoing major surgery. I am currently studying patient-centered outcomes of frail, older adults who undergo major surgery and important non- traditional pre-operative risk factors that may be associated with poor patient- centered outcomes. My work also involves improving the engagement of older adults in advance care planning prior to a major surgery. On the national level, I am actively engaged in translating research findings into interventions and policies to address the health and social needs of older adults in the surgical setting.
