SQUIRE 2.0 (Standards for Quality Improvement Reporting Excellence) are a set of guidelines that help standardize reports about quality, safety, and value of healthcare. SQUIRE-EDU was created as an extension of SQUIRE 2.0 to help expand educational science by increasing the completeness, transparency, and replicability of reports that used systematic efforts to improve quality, safety, and/or value of health professions’ education.
Three key components are emphasized in SQUIRE-EDU:
Inclusion of a description of the local education gap
Consideration of the impacts of educational improvement to patients,
