Elise Dasinger, PharmD, MHA, is a clinical pharmacist at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She is the Opioid Stewardship Pharmacist for the UAB Health System, where she is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and coordinating performance improvement activities focused on reducing the inappropriate use of opioids across UAB Medicine. Her work has extended to include improving access to pharmacologic treatment for opioid use disorder and expanding distribution of naloxone. She is also a scientist with the UAB Center for Addiction and Pain Prevention and Intervention (CAPPI). Dr. Dasinger is a graduate of the VA Quality Scholars Program.
